A Journal of What's New

We're making this site better for you. And you better like it, or we'll have to fire our web person (shoot, that's me). Call this page an improvement blog... call it "a page with lots of words on it"... either way, it's purpose is simple: to show you that we're making your recruiting life a little easier, one entry at a time. We've got plenty of improvements coming your way, so keep checking back to land that next great candidate quicker and easier than ever.

AFH 2.0

9.18.2009
We've been slaving over a whole new design with lots of new features. We've cleaned things up, sorted things better, and made your choices easier to identify. No more stumbling and wondering what does what. Everything is more clear, concise and straightforward. We'd like to think it's kinda pretty too. :)

Suped Up Search

8.1.2009
The search page now lets you search by current job title, city, date registered, and years of experience. Also, we've simplified the boolean with simple text inputs that do it for you! You can still use the same old boolean you know and love, but if you ever have a brain fart on how to exclude words, you can just hit our advanced search drop down!

Job Post Count (4)

8.1.2009
Now with our new tabbed navigation, you have a constant reminder of how many job postings you have. Just look at your "Post Job" tab and the number in the parentheses is your remaining job post count. It's almost too simple.

Help Us Get Rid of Gross Candidates

8.1.2009
Ever seen a candidate who says they have relevant experience when they don't? Or just a candidate that is better suited at McDonalds? That makes us want to barf! Fortunately, you can help us take out the trash by simply hitting the "Flag this candidate" link and we'll take a look at him.

Search, Front and Center, Now!

1.23.2009
The reason you are here is to find quality candidates, so we made it simpler for you by putting the Search Bar "front and center" for you to find those candidates quicker and easier.

Update the Date

1.21.2009
When you update your Job Postings, now you have the option to update the date as well. This does not make your posting expire at a later date. What it does do is allow candidates to notice that the job is fresh and has been updated recently, and that is a good thing!

In Search of the #

1.15.2009
We were told there was a need to search for the "#" symbol and we listened. Feel free to use the "#" in your search terms if you are looking for specific skillsets.

Forward Candidates via E-mail

1.14.2009
Found a great candidate and want to e-mail him/her to yourself? Or just can't wait to share it with a friend or colleague? All you have to do is click the "Forward this Candidate" button.

Highlight More

11.18.2008
Your original keywords are highlighted, but we thought it was a good idea to allow you zoom in even further to see if a candidate has what you need. Now you can highlight words after you have already "zoomed" in on a candidate.

Search for Experience

9.15.2008
Ability to search for candidates by how much experience they have.

Preview Job Postings

9.9.2008
We dream of a day where you are able to Preview Job Postings before clicking that "Post this Job" button. Now you can!

Inexperienced Need Not Apply

6.26.2008
Tired of sorting through tons of unqualified applicants? We thought you would be, so we gave you control to filter out those who lack the necessary requirements. It's your choice whether you want to let everyone apply or only those who have the necessary experience.

Refine Search

6.5.2008
Have too many results and want to narrow it down a bit, then this improvement was meant for you!

Highlighting and Counting of Keywords

6.5.2008
We made it so you can quickly glance at a Candidate's Info and see where your keywords are located. We took it one step further and show you exactly how many times the keywords show up in their Info and in their Resume.

Return to Search Results

6.3.2008
If you found yourself searching for a "back button" to quickly get back to your Search Results, now you quickly get back to your searching in the blink of an eye...or just one click of the mouse.

Search by Candidate's Current Title

6.3.2008
Got a pretty good idea of what position that ideal candidate should currently be holding? Now you can search for them by their Current Title.
